These offices function as nerve centres for the Centre’s operations in 26 countries. In the past 30 years, IDRC has supported some 2,500 research projects directed and managed by African researchers and institutions. IDRC’s research focus in Africa has evolved in response to the changing needs and priorities of the countries it serves. .

Spam Scam Alert! 2006-11-16
IDRC has been informed of a spam message written in French entitled "invitation," which falsely indicates that the Centre is sponsoring an event in support of youth and AIDS in Benin and Canada.
